After School Support Worker

The After School Support Worker (ASSW) works with the After School Worker to provide activities in the after school programs. The efforts of the ASSW are directed to supporting children aged 6 to 12 in their:

- Levels of physical activity and enjoyment of physical activity
- Knowledge of healthy food choices and ability to plan a healthy meal
- Resiliency, self esteem, self confidence
- Homework and school-related projects

**Program-Related Activities**
- Engages in activities to meet local children and youth, their families and community residents to promote the after school programming.
- Liaises and collaborates with Carlington staff as appropriate.
- Maintains daily attendance for each child registered in the program and supports other administrative tasks for group record keeping.
- Works with the ASW to supervise participants and deliver program content within a safe and secure environment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
