- Experience managing a veterinary clinic and leading a team
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships

- Computer skills are an asset as well as the ability to maintain thorough medical notes
- Exceptional conflict resolution and mentorship skills
- Creating schedules and predicting staffing needs
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Prepare and understand financial reports
- Strong organizational skills
- Performance management and mentoring
- Supervise and help to maintain an appropriate level of inventory and medical supplies
- Help to maintain current equipment and source new equipment when needed
- Maintain relationships with industry representatives
- Hiring and coaching staff members
- Other duties which are needed to maintain or improve the hospital
