Located in Bridgewater, SSRH has 85 inpatient beds including medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetrics, and mental health units. The modern regional hospital is the cornerstone of Bridgewater’s residents and surrounding community members’ quality of life. Services: ambulatory care anesthesiology cancer care and support services continuing care diagnostic imaging (including CT scan, mammography, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound) electrocardiography department emergency medicine general medicine internal medicine intensive care unit (ICU) medical and surgical units mental health and addictions services midwifery program Nova Scotia hearing and speech clinic nutrition and diabetic counselling obstetrics and gynecology services occupational therapy palliative care perioperative services physiotherapy plastic surgery psychiatry respiratory therapy social work surgical intermediate care unit (SIMCU) telehealth services walk-in clinic **Responsibilities**: - Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Duties include full scope of practice as a plastic surgeon providing care to patients within the western zone. - The physician will be responsible to the Zone Department Head of Surgery for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice and will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. **Expected Hours**: - Part-time 0.75-1.0 FTE - Shared Coverage of Emergency and Trauma Referrals **Qualifications**: - Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) - Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) **Community Details**: The Town of Bridgewater is located along the LaHave River and is surrounded by the coastal beaches and fishing communities of the south shore.
