**Position**

Position Title: Machine Assembler / Fitter

Reports to: Operation Manager

Number of Incumbent(s): 1

**Job Summary**

As a Machine Assembler, you will be responsible for building / assembling various types of custom designed machinery to Metform’s engineered specifications and in accordance with Metform’s quality standards and operating practices. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, operating in a safe and productive manner by being organized and self-motivated with the ability to pay close attention to detail and prioritize your workload to meet production demands.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive drawings and all parts from storage area, checking quantity of parts as per BOM.
- Read blueprints to determine optimal method of assembly.
- Assemble machinery in assembly area as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- Modify parts to fit as required, using machine shop equipment (milling machine, grinders, lathes, hand tools, Etc.)
- Assemble and fit all on machine hydraulic and pneumatics.
- Check visual quality of machine as well as all machine functions.
- Operating all equipment in a safe manner, keeping work areas clean and tidy.
- Any additional tasks as requested by Supervisor or Manager.

**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years experience with heavy machinery assembly or millwright experience, working in a custom manufacturing environment.
- 1-3 years experience working with coil processing equipment or stamping environment.
- Experience with various measuring instruments used to build equipment with tight tolerances.
- Experience with Hydraulics systems, assembly, hose crimping/flaring, troubleshooting, repairing is an asset.
- Experience with Pneumatic systems, assembly, plumbing, troubleshooting, repairing is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Experience with the safe operation of overhead crane and forklift for heavier items.
- Ability to read drawings, work unsupervised to a high degree of standard and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to travel internationally to support customer site installations, service requests, and break downs.
- Must live in the GTA with reliable transportation in order to commute to work everyday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
