Primary Colours is an all day cafe whose purpose is to positively impact people’s lives through food, baking and coffee. We are the exciting new concept from the Monogram Coffee team. Our daily mission is to spark people’s imaginations and bring people together through food, coffee and baking. As an all-day cafe, we are a wonderful mix of bustling cafe, fresh and cheery restaurant, and the warmth of a bakery. Whether you’re meeting best friends for brunch, grabbing a quick cappuccino and croissant, or meeting your partner for a relaxed Tuesday night dinner, we aim to be a space for our community at all times of the day.

**What we’re hiring for**

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic prep cook and dishwasher to help strengthen our kitchen team. Cooks and dishwasher report directly to Sous-chef and Head chef. Cooks are responsible for preparing and executing all restaurant operations as directed by managers to best serve our guests. Successful team members uphold a culture of professionalism, exceptional culinary execution & collaborative team culture. Key performance indicators also include strong dedication to collective efficiency, sense of urgency, devotion to culinary development & pursuit of excellence. This role also requires a commitment to actively create a safe and equitable space for all races, religions, cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities. Careful listening, critical problem solving and empathy are intangible assets for this role. Our collective goal is to provide exceptional guest care while serving our community through what we do.

**Food Philosophy**

Our community extends beyond the plate of food, we believe in positively impacting our community by connecting directly with our farmers to source quality ingredients in season. We practice whole animal butchery in addition to artisanal meat and vegetable curing. We believe in the contemporary exploration of Canadian ingredients. We cook over open fire while fostering an innovative approach to flavour development and culinary technique.

**Some of your tasks**:

- Working in service alongside your team, building relationships with the community and one another
- Operating under restaurant procedures and protocols, including documentation
- Assisting in inventories, pars and ordering
- Work well and understand the vision of the leadership group
- Support, grow and help each person on the team
- Be ready to respond to emergencies, shift coverages or other issues.

**Requirements**:

- No experience is required for this position though experience is considered
- Culinary education is considered
- Collaboration, work ethic & enthusiasm are essential
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50lbs
