**Rate of Pay: $24.56 - $25.11**
**per hour**

Through the Community Stroke Rehab Funding through Ontario Health, Outpatient Neurology Services is seeking a temporary part time Rehabilitation Assistant to assist clients in transitioning from outpatient therapy to the community setting. This position will work with the Physiotherapist to assist clients in engaging in community based rehabilitation to continue to work on their goals in the community.

**Qualifications**:
**_Education/Experience:_**
- A Diploma or Degree from a recognized two-year Rehabilitation Assistant program or from an equivalent or similar program focusing on physical rehabilitation, such as Physiotherapy/ Occupational Therapy Assistant, Kinesiology, etc
- Extensive experience with stroke
- Previous experience working with clients in an outpatient setting or health care facility with specific experience and training with relevant client population
- Demonstrated ability to practice effectively in an interprofessional collaborative environment

**_Skills/Abilitites:_**
- Ability to deliver individual and group therapy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
