Sylvan Learning Instructor/tutor

Do you love to teach? Do you like working with students? Have a university degree, but are working towards a degree in education? Sylvan Learning offers an exceptional teaching experience in a professional environment. All students are taught in a small teacher-to-student ratio. As a part-time instructor, you will receive training to deliver Sylvan’s proven, personalized programs. We are different from other tutoring centres in that we provide you with the materials and curriculum to teach. Additionally, teaching hours will be consistent each week, and there are no lessons to prepare. All you have to do is work with our great students and focus your time on teaching.
Successful applicants:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Have a least 1 year tutoring experience
- Have strong skills in teaching math, reading, writing, and/or have strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Have a positive attitude and love working with children
Shifts:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3:45 pm to 8:00 pm; Saturday 9:45 am to 1:00 pm or 12:45 pm to 5:00 pm
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
