**VISION SORTER OPERATOR**

**About the Position**:The Vision Sorter Operator is responsible for preparing materials and troubleshooting problems.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Operate sorting machines assigned.
- Set up machines to defined criteria or programs (part change overs).
- Load and unload bins on machine.
- Stage product bins for sorting.
- Check product quality.
- Prepare product containers.
- Weigh product when finished and record the appropriate paperwork.
- Wipe clean machine, cameras as required.
- Keep working area clean and in a safe manner. Report all unsafe hazards to a Supervisor or JHSC member. Report accidents to a Supervisor or First Aid person.
- Report all instances where you feel non-conforming parts may not have been sorted correctly to a Supervisor or Quality Assurance Personnel.
- Report any machine malfunction to Supervisor or Lead Hand.
- Train other operators on machine operation (where competence has been achieved).
- Complete associated paperwork.
- Taking inventory of production parts, machine tools and materials.
- Other associated duties as assigned by Supervisor.

**Qualifications**:

- Secondary school diploma, or equivalent, as determined by management.
- Possess a mechanical aptitude sufficient to identify non-conforming parts.
- Ability to be certified and drive tow motor.
- Ability to adhere to plant safety rules.
- Ability to ensure waste is disposed properly.
- Ability to follow safe practices associated with machines and equipment.
- Ability to run and set up sorting machines such as vision sorters.
- Mechanical/technical aptitude to setup, troubleshoot and changeover equipment.
- Familiar with safety devices on machines.
- Reasonable oral and written communication to communicate with Lead hands and Supervisors and complete required paperwork.
- Positive employment record.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.32-$24.79 per hour

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
