**Summary**:
**Key Responsiblities**:
Site Assessment:
- Site Assessment: Phase 1 & Phase 2 assessments.
- Conduct thorough assessments of contaminated sites to identify pollutants, assess risks, and determine the extent of environmental damage.
Remediation Planning:
- Design and develop comprehensive remediation plans tailored to specific sites, considering factors such as soil and water quality, contaminants, and local environmental regulations.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about environmental regulations and ensure all remediation activities adhere to local, state, and federal guidelines.
Technology Implementation:
- Utilize advanced technologies and methodologies to implement effective and sustainable environmental remediation solutions.
Project Management:
- Oversee and manage remediation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are executed within established timelines and budgets.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Collect and analyze environmental data, including soil and water samples, to inform decision-making and assess the progress of remediation efforts.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including environmental engineers, geologists, and regulatory experts, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to environmental remediation projects.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with local land owners and stakeholders to communicate project objectives, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.
Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing project progress, findings, and compliance status for internal and external stakeholders.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in environmental remediation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
**Preferred Skills**:
Qualifications:
A member in good standing in one of the following:
- Alberta Institute of Agrologists
- Alberta Society of Professional Biologists
- Alberta Forest Management Professionals (AAFMP)
- Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta
- Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta
- Association of the Chemical Profession of Alberta
- Proven experience in environmental remediation projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- 5 years of relevant experience in remediation and reclamation.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geoscientist, Certified Environmental Professional).
- Familiarity with emerging technologies in environmental remediation.
- Experience with GIS (Geographic Information System) software.
