Koto Sushi Izakaya is a beloved sushi restaurant in Victoria, known for being one of the pioneers in introducing Japanese cuisine to the area. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse menu of traditional and some great twist east meets west Japanese dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
**Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated Server to join our team at Koto Sushi Izakaya. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable dining experience while enjoying our exquisite sushi and Japanese dishes.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Provide detailed information about menu items and specials to guests.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments using the POS system.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Assist with restocking supplies as needed.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a server or in the food service industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an asset.
- Good math skills for processing payments and managing tabs.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: From $17.40 per hour
