**K-12 Curriculum Development Manager**

**Role Description**:
K-12 Curriculum Development Manager oversees and maintains the quality for all ongoing development of in-person and online classes and curriculum undergoing testing within the Innovation Department. This includes in-person and online after-school classes as well as curriculum that may be implemented in day schools through published materials. **This role is located at our Head Quarters in Toronto and is an in-office role.**

**Skilled Knowledge & Experience**:
This role requires exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.

This role requires comfort and confidence with technology and software. Specifically, this individual has experience using Microsoft Office Suite and should be familiar with or willing to learn the Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Adobe InDesign). This individual is comfortable using Microsoft SharePoint and should be willing to learn and expand on their knowledge of SharePoint and other online systems.

**Education**:
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or College. A Bachelor’s in Education (or equivalent) is valued, but not mandatory.

**Accountabilities**:
This role reports to the Director of Innovation and is accountable for:
a) Monitoring all in-person and online Innovation classes undergoing testing

b) Ensuring quality of all content created during all stages from research to launch for Innovation classes

c) Upholding and enforcing all requirements related to facility and safety maintenance of the Innovation classrooms

d) Assisting teachers when dealing with student/parent concerns

e) Ensuring timely completion of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) on their job scorecard

f) Accurate tracking and documentation of subordinates KPI’s, goals and deadlines

g) Analyzing feedback data and ensuring its proper storage and validity during all stages of owned programs and products, as needed

h) Initiating, coordinating, creating, reviewing, and implementing all operational systems and/or procedures related to all owned projects, programs and/or products

i) Ensuring all student related information is kept up to date and in a secure location

**Authorities**:
The K-12 Curriculum Development Manager has the following authorities:
a) Monitor and approve the purchasing and costs of all Innovation class supplies

b) Hiring, managing, appraising, coaching, and deselecting all associates, coordinators, contractors, teachers, and other roles reporting to this Manager within the Innovation Department

c) Provide curriculum content and teacher feedback for all Innovation programs and classes undergoing testing

d) Placing students in a different grade level or on probation as and when necessary

**Responsibilities**

The K-12 Curriculum Development Manager has the following responsibilities:
a) Ensuring and maintaining brand consistency and quality

b) Reviewing all curriculum content and teacher/class related administration documents

c) Providing feedback and suggestions for teaching and curriculum content improvement

d) Researching and working collaboratively to identify potential improvements to all program’s curriculum and teaching methodology

e) Testing various potential improvements to content and teaching methodologies for all program’s

f) Creating, conducting and/or analysis of results from parent and student surveys related to the Innovation Classes

g) Creating all calendars/schedules required for the testing, implementation and/or launch of any Innovation Classes

h) Managing Innovation Classes online systems for registration, grading, and support

i) Ensuring all student or class related administration is completed up to standards and in a timely manner

j) Organizing, planning, and running training and information sessions related to all operational and educational processes for Innovation Classes or programs
