**GENERAL FUNCTION**:
The Buyer / Planner is responsible for the planning and tactical procurement of commodities, supplies, equipment, and services to be used by the organization. He or she will be responsible for planning inventory flow, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions. The Buyer / Planner is also responsible of executing the purchase orders, coordinating with Logistics Team Lead, and production Team Lead in order to maintain the appropriate level of inventory. This individual will utilize expert knowledge to purchase goods and services at the most favorable price for the company, while simultaneously building and maintaining strategic relationships with key suppliers.

The Buyer / Planner will also support SUP team members in scheduling and meeting customer delivery dates.

**RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Planning for inventory usage and flow, analyzing statistical data, and generating forecasting solutions.
- Analyse inventory turns and identify inventory high moving items.
- Update min/max based on your final analysis.
- Review and fill the company inventory demand by issuing Purchase Orders / Transfer Orders using our ERP “Pronto” tools.
- Follow up with the supplier on all purchase orders and update / confirm purchase order supplier ship / Due dates in timely manner.
- Work closely with Production Team Lead, Customer Service and shipping to establish and confirm delivery Dates for Production, Purchase and Sales Orders.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-Secondary Education degree in business, with a focus on planning, purchasing / supply chain management, inventory control, manufacturing, or materials management.
- 3-5 years of direct work experience in a purchasing and supply chain processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
- Understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories.
- Hands-on experience with logistics, inventory management and procurement.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization. Knowledge of associated documentation, with good writing skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
- On-going training, in Supply Chain Management
