OMNI Hazmat is an occupational health and safety consulting firm focusing on hazmat, including asbestos, lead, and mould. We conduct residential and commercial building inspections and provide hazardous material testing, air monitoring and lab analysis, and project management. We are based out of Port Coquitlam, though we operate across BC, with our primary focus being in the Lower Mainland.

We are currently looking for an Air Monitoring Technician to join our team. The applicant would be required to travel to active job sites and perform daily air quality tests. Setup and travel between 1-5 sites per day would be expected, so a valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. The applicant must communicate effectively and work closely with contractors and workers while conducting themselves in a professional and knowledgeable manner. Being on active job sites, appropriate clothing, including steel-toed work boots and personal protective equipment, including a respirator, is a daily requirement. For male applicants, this means being clean-shaven daily. Safety is of the utmost concern, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations at all times.

Hours worked will range between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. Flexibility is essential as each day's start and end time will vary based on the current ongoing projects.

Experience in the construction industry and basic knowledge of occupational health and safety is an asset, though not required. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure confidence in all duties, and cross-training into other areas of the business is encouraged with time and experience. Past customer service experience is highly valued as our relationships with our clients are of the utmost importance.
