**Key Responsibilities**

The Payroll Generalist will focus on the following tasks:

- Perform full-cycle payroll processing for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulations (including Alberta’s payroll standards).
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, tax information, and deductions.
- Manage government filings and remittances (T4s, ROEs, and CRA payments).
- Answer payroll inquiries from clients and employees professionally and promptly.
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and government reports.
- Ensure payroll compliance with relevant employment standards and legislation.
- Participate in payroll audits and process improvements.
- Provide support with HR tasks (onboarding, benefits administration, etc.) if relevant experience applies.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms such as Payworks, Rise, QuickBooks, Ceridian, or ADP.
- Knowledge of payroll compliance and employment standards in Alberta.
- HR or payroll generalist experience is considered an asset.
- PCP or CPM certification is considered an asset.
- Access to reliable transportation to visit client sites, as needed.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 is considered an asset.

**Work Hours**

This is a **part-time **permanent **position**, requiring **2**2.5 **hours per week** with flexibility based on client needs. Hours will be scheduled Monday through Friday. There may be opportunities for additional hours based on workload.
