**Duties**
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage traveled.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Operate forklifts and heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Familiarity with automotive repair is a plus, enabling quick fixes on the road.
- Experience in handling freight, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo.
- Skills in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts are beneficial.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to transportation and freight handling.
