**Job Summary**

As a Math Mojo Tutor, you will be provided with lesson plans and worksheets. We don't expect you to create your own as we just want you to focus on providing the best learning experience possible with the resources we provide. The hours are flexible depending on who we assign to you and the availability of the student The lessons will be held virtually.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Educate students ranging from grades 6-12.
- Assist students in improving their study skills, homework completion, and test preparation strategies.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
- This role could range from part-time to full-time hours depending on your availability and the clients requests.

**Qualifications** / **Requirements**
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching Math for students in grades 6-8.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed academically.
- Time management is crucial for this role, you will be assigned clients that have purchased prepaid hours and expect to meet with you a certain number of times during a month.
- Must have your own laptop/computer with a camera.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Familiarity with classroom dynamics and the Ontario Math Curriculum
- A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
