Forklift Operator/material Handler

**Position Title**:FORKLIFT OPERATOR (6-month contract)

**Reports to**: Warehouse Supervisor

**Work Schedule**:Regular, Full-Time, Days (6-month contract)

**Job Summary**:Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting ALLSEATING’s business and production by moving skids, replenishing pick locations, retrieving components as requested by the production staging personnel, put-aways, and organizing locations to improve efficiencies.

**Responsibilities**:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the following:

- Conducting daily machinery and equipment inspections and circle checks;
- Unloading and loading delivery trucks and containers;
- Picking and/or packing functions;
- Receiving, unloading, and placing incoming inventory product;
- Assisting in keeping the warehouse aisles clear;
- Assisting and/or conducting daily cycle and year-end inventory counts;
- Relocating incoming skids to ensure the receiving dock is cleared for new delivery;
- Tracking product through RF scanners;
- Cooperating with all departments to provide materials as required for current day production;
- Safe handling and operation of the reach truck, counter balance, and/or order picker;
- Maintaining a clean work environment;
- Adhering to all company and government legislated policies and procedures; and
- Other duties as required.

**Required Skillset**:

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrate a sense of urgency on the job;
- Must have the ability to learn and use computer and RF scanning technologies;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods;
- Must be able to work as part of a team;
- Must be able to work efficiently and effectively;
- Must work in an organized manner; and
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma;
- Valid Forklift Certification (Reach, Order Picker, Counter Balance) with a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience;
- English language proficiency (read/write/speak);
- Demonstrated history of safe work habits; and
- Previous experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment is an asset

**Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required**:

- Steel-toed shoes
