**Job Summary**:
The Operator position will be responsible for operations within our PVC facility. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.
This is a full-time position, with rotating 12hr Continental Shifts, with an hourly pay rate of $28.18.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Fill out all line product specification sheets every hour at both the work station and extruder. Measure and record the dimensional and physical properties of the product and other necessary production information (which includes but is not limited to: print line quality and accuracy, index mark, line amps, vent, vacuum, OD1, heat temperatures, melt temperature and melt pressure). All adjustments, variances or problems encountered when taking specs, must be recorded. Notification to Supervisor or other front-line leaders will be expected if major adjustments on line are required.
- All finished goods are to be weighed on the scale and recorded on the operator hourly documentation. The running weight of total finished goods is to be calculated before the Supervisor or his delegate captures the paperwork at the end of the shift.
- Enter rejects in MES by piece as it comes of the line, at a minimum of once per hour
- Proactively monitor the MES data system hourly to ensure accuracy of information - reject is up to date, line status is correct, and that regrind is being entered where applicable. The MES system starts with every line operator managing the status and information correctly.
- Build crates with pneumatic nail gun to specification listed on the QC packaging instructions
**Job Requirements**:
- Verbal and written communication in English (Minimum Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent)
- Basic math skills; ability to use micrometers, calipers, miscellaneous equipment
- Experience with hand and power tools, lifting equipment etc.
- Forklift and overhead crane considered an asset
- Successfully pass criminal background check

**Working Conditions**:
- Mostly work indoors in manufacturing environment with long periods of standing/walking.
- Employee may experience progressive degrees of changing factors in the work process (changing work priorities, deadlines, accuracy, quotas, conflicting demands)
- Employee may be exposed to a moderate level of hazards in the work environment, such as chemicals, commercial products, exposure to potential toxins, moving machinery, repetitive motion, excessive noise, powered industrial vehicle fork/reach/ bucket lift/other.
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Employee may be required to perform a moderate level of specific tasks such as lifting up to 35 lbs, muscular action, body movements, working positions, posture changes, visual attentiveness.
- Employee will be required to wear protective eyewear, reflective safety clothing appropriate gloves, hearing protection, respiratory protection, safety shoes, hard hat, and/or other.
- Physical work is expected 70% of the time, which includes the use of cranes, forklifts and other equipment. Work requires walking, observing, repairing and documenting. Work requires sensory attention at all times.
