**Overview**
The General Worker (Palletizing) is accountable for providing operational support to the Line Leaders. They will be responsible for lifting packed product onto a pallet and successfully moving finished pallets into the shrink wrap area. They will also be responsible for assisting in the production area by affixing labels on boxes, loading the boxes into the machines, conducting quality control checks, maintaining the working area and following health and safety standards.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
Planning and Reporting (10%)
- Prepare reports on unused material quantities for Line Leader

Production (35%)
- Palletize the boxes and prepare them for the next process
- Label each pallet with accurate barcode labels.
- Load and feed the label machine with boxes
- Load and unload the box erector machine with the labelled boxes
- Place inserts into the boxes as necessary
- Assist Line Leaders with cleaning machines and conveyors
- Clean broken skids and straps from shop floor

Line Efficiency (15%)
- Problem solves line issues i.e., provide suggestions and recommendations to increase accuracy
- Determine inefficiencies and implement effective processes to increase overall line efficiency

Quality Control (25%)
- Perform visual quality control inspections on boxes and labels
- Set aside non-conforming boxes
- Inform Line Leader about any defects

Health and Safety (15%)
- Follow health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Safeguard area around machinery and verify safe conditions prior to operating and throughout shift

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Education
- Diploma, High School

Experience
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Previous experience palletizing boxes in a plant/warehouse

**Skills**:

- Experience operating manual pallet jack to move finished pallets

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

This role operates in a production environment; employees are exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, variable temperatures, and fragrances.
