**High School Math/Science Tutor - Scholars of St. Catharines**

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver high-quality 2:1 instruction in math and/or science to high school students.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
- Support students in developing strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Create and implement effective lesson plans aligned with provincial curriculum standards.
- Track and communicate student progress, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Contribute to a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

**Qualifications**
- Currently enrolled in or completed a post-secondary program in math, science, or education (Teacher’s College students welcome).
- Previous experience tutoring or working with students is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Passionate about helping students achieve academic success.
- Comfortable teaching in a 2:1 student-teacher ratio.
- Proficient in teaching high school-level math and/or science up to Grade 12.

**Availability**
- **Minimum commitment**: 6 hours per week.
- **Shifts**: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Saturday, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.

- **Hours of Operation**: Monday to Thursday, 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
- **Dress Code**: Business casual
- **Compensation**: Competitive, commensurate with experience; includes potential for performance-based profit sharing
