**ROLE PURPOSE**
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Payroll Coordinator is accountable for compiling employee time and payroll data along with the routine calculations of figures pertaining to business transactions submitted by other workers.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
**Payroll and Time and Attendance**
1. Prepare employee pay and statements of earnings and deductions.
2. Review time sheets, work charts, wage calculation, and other information to identify and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
3. Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
4. Process new hire paperwork and enter employee information into the payroll system.
5. Validate attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and update information onto their respective records.
6. Maintain employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations to update payroll records.
7. Verify and process forms and administration documents of benefits, such as RRSP, and unemployment and medical insurance.
8. Update time sheets showing employees' arrival and departure times.
9. Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
10. Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments.
**Accounts Payable and Receivable**
Serve as back up for accounts payable and receivable tasks utilizing accounting software.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**
- You have a certificate in Payroll Administration.
- You have a College Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
**Experience**
- 1 - 3 years experience in Payroll administration
- 1 - 3 years experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Experience with ADP and or other payroll software
**Skills**
- Microsoft Office Suite - Level 2 - Advanced
**Abilities**
- You have the ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and ethics.
- You have the ability to follow health and safety training.
