Our Underwriting Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing business needs and accordingly maintaining the underwriting rules and table updates within the underwriting workflow system. The incumbent is responsible for the development of new tables and rules by creating and maintaining rate books and the automated rating function.

Working within the National Corporate Underwriting team, the Underwriting System Analyst will liaise with Business Delivery Leads, Lead Business and System Architects, and other stakeholders to determine needs and requirements for all projects. They perform system configurations, perform workflow analysis, and recommend enhancements. They also have the opportunity to collaborate with Actuarial to both create and maintain new and existing rate tables, which entails a sound understanding of the algorithms and complex analysis where algorithm changed are required

**You’re great at**:

- Recognizing unrelated problems and implementing an appropriate solution
- Planning, organizing, and managing multiple requests, with changing priorities

**You have**:

- Post-Secondary education with a focus on Computer Science, Math, or Business
- 3-5 years' experience in process or Rate Automation, or as a Business Analyst
- Strong knowledge of insurance trends, developments, current standards, philosophies, and laws and regulations
- CIP/FCIP or a Business Analyst certification
