Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Risk Analyst to join our client.

Contract Dates: 7 months with potential to extend or convert
Pay Range: $36.62 to $43.68 per hour
Business Hours: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Job Responsibilities:

- Work closely with investment risk oversight specialists and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop comprehensive dashboards using data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau to effectively communicate complex investment risk concepts, leveraging analytics from risk systems, including scenario analysis and stress testing, to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage and optimize the infrastructure for collecting, storing, and managing risk data, including data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines, to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Enhance data quality and improve the efficiency of risk processes, ensuring that data used for risk assessments is accurate and reliable.
- Ensure the effectiveness and reliability of risk reporting and monitoring tools to support stakeholders in their activities.
- Work in close collaboration with IT, data science, and other relevant teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Self-manage and prioritize work items based on the queue of requests to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

- 1-2+ years of experience in investment/financial services, within a buy-side investment management firm or related financial institution, with an understanding of investment risk principles.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau, with the ability to create compelling visualizations to communicate complex risk concepts.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and the ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets.
- Demonstrated proficiency in SQL, with the ability to develop and manage database queries.
- Keen interest in exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can enhance data insights and investment risk management processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
