**Job Title**:Gladue Aftercare Worker, Hiiye’yu Lelum Community Justice Program

**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Provide one to one support to clients within the court system and in First Nations Court who have received or will be receiving a Gladue Report.
- Provide a safe space for clients to work on their healing journey.
- Maintain appropriate client/administrative records, and reporting as required.
- Prepare and submit reports and statistics (Nucleus database), in a timely manner
- A strong understanding of local Indigenous cultures and practices; a keen awareness of issues amongst our client group
- Provide relevant Groups/workshops for community
- Collaborate with relevant local agencies/partners
- Use a client-centered holistic approach with clientele

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Mental Health, Certificate in Aboriginal studies and/or or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years relevant experience working within Indigenous communities
- Experience with Trauma Informed practices and proven counselling skills an asset
- Experience using best practice standards in FASD and similar developmental conditions an asset
- Practiced setting strong personal boundaries, including implementing a wellness plan
- A safe, reliable vehicle and valid BC driver’s license
- Excellence in written and verbal communication

Hours per week: 21-28 hrs

**Salary**: $33 per hr.

**Deadline: Feb 12 2025**

Pay: $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Duncan, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
