**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director, Business Processes Manager (Audit) brings their experience and best-in-class business acumen in delivering policy, compliance with SOX practices and excellence in reporting, analytics, process and practice across the order to cash function to assist in successfully implementing our Billing/Cash strategy.
**You Are Great At**:
- Own overall management of the billing audit program for Opentext globally. In this role, you will:
- Be the key partner to both internal and external audit as all audit requests will be channeled through you for action
- Determine the actions required on all requests and find the most appropriate course to deliver on these in a timely manner. This will mean (1) engaging billing teams to support sample pulls and follow ups; (2) pulling samples yourself; (3) utilizing automation for data pulls
- Create a sound and easy to manage methodology to track new incoming, in progress and completed audit requests. This will serve as the basis to report status to the various billing and audit leaders.
- Constantly search for better ways to reduce audit request pressures to the billing teams such as implementing automation to execute requests.
- Generating insightful reports to assist the business in decision making
- You are an expert with SQL and database management and reporting in Excel and PowerBI
**What it takes to Excel**:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a global software services/high tech environment
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills with all levels, internal and external
- Strong change management skills and ability to pivot with changing priorities
- Excellent working knowledge on accounting principles, compliance and sox controls; Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition principles
- Excellent working knowledge of SAP with strong working knowledge of Billing in SAP and Microsoft Office products
- Experience in leveraging multiple large data sets to perform complex analytics and modeling
- Experience in performance management considered a must
- Experience in a sales operations, finance considered an asset
- Proficiency in MS Excel PowerBI, (expert level) is a must.
- Expert with SQL and database management and maintenance
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets is a must
- Bachelor’s degree ideally in economics/ business/ accounting and/or equivalent experience
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and influence results
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong planning, organization and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
- Excellent organization and time management skills, with demonstrated success managing multiple priorities, prioritizing to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent team player, understanding that you deliver as a team and it is always best when you collaborate to find solutions to problems
- Demonstrated ability to drive a culture of accuracy and efficiency in a continuously changing environment.
