**Logistics Coordinator, Tues. - Sat. day shift**

Day TUES WED THURS FRI SAT
Shift Hrs. 8am - 4pm; 8am - 4pm; 8am - 4pm; 8am - 2pm; 7am - 5pm.

**SCOPE**
- Dealing with claims for all carriers
- Respond to customer inquiries providing support as required
- Maintain records and statistics relative to assigned processes
- Assist with some dispatch functions as required
- Perform general office functions as required
- Provide shipping status and order visibility information as required to both internal and external clients, monitor shipping information, close shipped orders, provide order status, etc.
- Schedule outgoing shipments to successfully meet ship dates
- Conduct analysis on shipping quality incidents as required
- Prepare accurate bills of lading and packing slips
- Coordinate ship schedule report daily
- Attend daily Operations meetings
- Maintain regular and on-going communication with inventory control and operations departments to ensure and verify priorities and timelines
- Extensive knowledge required of courier systems an asset
- Strong telephone etiquette when calling external trucking companies or internal clients to set up shipments or book delivery appointments
- Complete an end of day report for production team to indicate what shipments have been shipped based on schedule
- Coordinate with IC to get shipments prepared and/or shipped accordingly
- Special attention required to jobs that have breakdowns, distribution lists or special labeling or shipping info
- Ensure that Proof of Deliveries are filed daily and readily accessible if inquiries occur, at the end of the month all POD’s should be scanned and kept electronically
- Ensure different products can move between businesses, on time and in the correct quantities
- Assist in coordinating the transportation of products to the customers
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards

**EDUCATION/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES**
- High School Diploma
- Experience working in the transportation industry (logistics, supply chain, warehousing, shipping) would be considered an asset for this role
- Good understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment
- Previous administrative and customer service experience is also an asset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Good time-management with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage work requirements
- Strong capability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously within a team environment
- Fast paced environment, must be able to handle stress and deal with issues in a timely fashion
- Sound interpretation and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be extremely self-motivated and able to work under mínimal supervision

**Salary**: $45,000.00 per year
