**Job Summary Statement**:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for developing and maintaining site training programs, implementing training requirements, and promoting safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining the site training matrix, including scheduling all employee training, re-training, and re-certifications.
- Participate in the new hire selection process by conducting Material Handling Equipment (MHE) assessments for prospective employees.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, including MHE theory, site safety rules, food safety procedures, systems training, and company policies.
- Assess new and existing employees on operational processes and prepare reports with recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and documentation for all site employees.
- Deliver training to employees across various operational areas as needed.
- Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of training materials and programs.
- Ensure compliance with all site safety protocols, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to promote health and safety awareness across all levels of the organization, including reporting on safety metrics, goals, and performance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of warehouse operations and workflow to support training and safety initiatives.
- Identify and report potential health and safety risks to management proactively.
- Support warehouse operations by working as a Material Handler or performing other tasks as needed when not actively engaged in training duties.
**Experience, Skills and Competencies**:
- Minimum 3 years MHE experience is required (stand-up Reach/Dock Stocker).
- Certified MHE trainer (Train the Trainer) or willing to complete.
- Previous Training experience considered an asset.
- Experience with wireless RF systems including voice picking considered an asset.
- Experience working in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse considered an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities and demonstrated proficiency in instructional delivery, presentation, and facilitation.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
- Solid understanding of MHE regulations, health and safety standards, and applicable legislative requirements.
- Exceptionally organized, self-driven, and detail-focused.
- Flexible schedule with availability for varied shifts and travel to multiple company sites for training delivery.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
- Proactive problem solver with a positive, can-do mindset.
- Consistently presents a polished and professional appearance, serving as a key representative and initial point of contact for new hires.
- **Fully capable of working in varying temperatures. Temperatures may range anywhere from 2 degrees Celsius to 15 degrees Celsius in most Brimich Warehouses. Brimich Cold Storage buildings may range from 0 degrees Celsius to -30 degrees Celsius.**
