Az Local Driver with Flatbed Experience

**Halton Transportation Inc.** is looking for an experienced AZ professional driver with _**flatbed steel experience**_. This is a full time position.

Pay: $25-27/ hour for local, or $0.60-0.65/ Mile for long route (Ottawa, Montreal etc)

Responsible for transporting a variety of cargo on flatbed trailers while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and securing loads properly. 90% of the work will be oversized loads.

**Everyday in Your Role**:

- Making deliveries in a safe and timely manner, managing delivery schedules
- Strapping of loads in all weather conditions
- Constant communication with the customer and dispatch
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
- Informing the office about any defect or safety maintenance to be done on the vehicle
- Complete required reports and paperwork

**What you’ll Bring**
- Minimum of **3 years Flatbed experience**
- Valid AZ license/Class 1 license
- Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR (to be provided)
- Must be comfortable with both city and highway driving, regular tight turns
- Ability to haul oversized/over-length loads of approximately 60 feet is required.
- Ability to communicate, read and write in English is a must and willingness to engage in training as required.
- Follow company rules and regulations in regards to safety and hours of service
- Excellent customer service skills
