**Core Job Functions**:
The role of Class 1 - Driver Recruiter will be responsible for driving business growth within the Western region through Recruitment of Owner Operators and company drivers as required.

The Class 1 - Driver Recruiter will work with the General Managers and Manager of Talent Acquisition & Development to ensure appropriate KPI’s are in place and achieved in all key metrics relating to Owner Operator growth and profitability for the Region.

Role Responsibilities

Lead all field recruitment activity in support of Western business operations

Produce the necessary leads each month to achieve the net growth targets

Work with the Business Development team to ensure a coordinated effort around growth

Surpass growth targets in Owner Operator hiring and zero empty company driver seats

Attend and manage attendance at Recruitment related events within the geographical region

Lead driver engagement activities with prospective employees in various locations

Partner with the Human Resources team on recruiting and retention initiatives

Develop new business opportunities through existing and new accounts

Ensure communication of all role specific details are provided to potential leads

Work collaboratively with HR to ensure appropriate driver and staff programs are implemented

Actively engage in field marketing and sales activity to reach prospective drivers

Source benchmarking information as required i.e. competitive pay programs, competitive company hiring tactics etc

Continuous professional representation of the company at all times, abiding by the ethical standards set out by the Company

Other duties as required

Additional Job Details

Travel is required to reach drivers and attend events as needed throughout Western Canada, including overnight travel

While the role is a Monday to Friday role, it will require taking (or making) calls from prospective drivers on weekends

This role may require to affix company magnetic decals to your car for marketing purposes while in the field recruiting.

**Job Requirements**:
5 years in the transportation industry is preferred

Previous experience in an operational role is considered an asset

Strong communication skills - verbal and written

Excellent organization and time-management skills

Well organized, detail oriented and a proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision

Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills required
