**Company description** Backyards Beautiful provides yard care, landscaping and excavation services primarily to residential customers. We value a positive attitude and a strong work ethic as you’ll be the face that our client sees most. **Job description** Looking for part-time seasonal help to fulfill mowing contracts. - Very flexible daily start times and job scheduling. - Current work is in Beckwith Township (Ashton/Carleton Place area). All mowing contracts are close to one another. - Equipment, trailer and company truck are provided. - If you wish to use your own vehicle to pull mowing equipment then a gas allowance will be allocated to you. - This role is best suited for someone who likes working outdoors and enjoys operating equipment or mowing. - Approximately 3 days (20-24 hours) per week but this could be expanded by taking on additional duties/jobs. **Duties** - Mowing, trimming and running a blower and potentially other small yard tools. - Other yard care duties could be incorporated if desired. - Managing an effective daily/weekly schedule and routing for mowing. - Driving. - Conducting daily vehicle/equipment inspections. - Fueling equipment and restringing trimmers. **Skills** - Dependable. - Responsible. - Good problem solving. - Ability to work independently. - Operational awareness of your surroundings when operating equipment. **Requirements / Work Experience** - Must have a "G" driver’s license with a clean abstract for insurance purposes. - Experience operating lawn maintenance equipment such as tractors, riding mowers, string trimmers etc. is a plus but not absolutely required. Pay rate will be based on experience and other factors. **Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal **Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: Work environment is entirely outdoors and daily contact is limited to one to two people. **Experience**: - Yard care, landscaping or equipment operation: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Class G Licence (required)
