Sunny Day Care is licensed by the Ministry of Education and holding service contract with Region of Waterloo. It is independently operated and provides quality childcare in the KW community for over 20 years. We will have one full-time ECE position open in our toddler or preschool group. Individuals with genuine love in working children and relevant childcare experience is invited to apply. **Key duties and responsibilities**: - Independently or work with other ECE teachers to, lead a group of children and provide primary care for them. Plan and execute age-appropriate activities under the guide of "How does learning happen?", observe, document and discuss with supervisor about the development milestones of children, communicate with families through online app. Provide a safe, fun, inspiring environment to children, understand and respond to their needs, and help children to develop essential skills, self-esteem and independence. - Familiar with the The _Child Care _and Early Years Act, 2014. - Daily documentation and record keeping - Other duties including food preparation, cleaning, sanitation and disinfection as assigned **Requirements**: - Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent qualification - Previous daycare work experience is an asset - Good at team work and able to lead independently **Other requirements**: - First Aid and CPR - Police vulnerable sector check - Immunization record and tuberculosis test - Punctuality and good attendance - Flexibility with different work shifts or extended hours **Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care Plan (CWELCC)** We are the participant in CWELCC that committed to quality care, parents fee reductions, and additional benefits for RECE and childcare workers, including annual wage increase for RECE, paid staff training and PD days etc. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $19.00-$20.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site childcare - On-site parking - Paid time off - Tuition reimbursement Schedule: - Day shift COVID-19 considerations: Daily screening, cleaning and sanitization procedures, free PPE and RATs provided at the work place. **Experience**: - Early Childhood General Education Teachers: 2 years (preferred) Work Location: One location
