An opportunity has opened up for a Logistics and Quality Coordinator position within our company. Blueridge Produce Inc. is a top quality packer of fresh blueberries as well as a processor of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries for local wholesale, retail and food service markets as well as global exports. Blueridge Produce Inc. is part of Driediger Farms Ltd. which has been in business since 1964.

**Job Overview**:
Reporting predominantly to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Logistics & Quality Coordinator’s primary role is Logistics & Inventory Management. Additionally, the Coordinator will be an active participant on all Food Safety teams, and will assist with employee training, internal auditing, and will be involved in some supplier approvals and document reviews for the facilities.

The Logistics & Quality Coordinator is required to be an active participant in the Joint Occupational Safety and Health (JOSH) committee.

**Key Requirements**:

- Must have a valid training certificate related to SQF, HACCP (within 5 years), and Internal auditing of SQF Systems.
- Should be a certified PCQI as per FSMA requirements.
- Must have 5 years experience with internal auditing of SQF programs
- Will be required to become certified in Level II First Aid

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to ensure the Master inventory lists of finished products are kept current
- Responsible for all data entries related to Receiving and Finished Product grading
- Responsible to select product for customer orders, to prepare orders and load documents and to send load instructions to cold storage locations. Also, coordinates transport companies and dock appointment logistics when necessary
- Responsible to confirm orders and transfers have shipped in our internal inventory system and forwards on relevant documentation
- Responsible to ensure all documentation is filed in an organized fashion
- Responsible for the Grower supplier approval program ensuring all required documentation has been turned in and maintains the approved supplier list
- Assists with Internal audits, QA technician and production worker food safety orientation training and on the job training. Performs personnel retraining when documentation or procedural errors are identified
- Ensures all employees are following proper GMP, food safety and health and safety procedures
- Participates in the Joint Occupational Safety and Health _(_JOSH) committee

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

- This is a harvest operation. In the summer we work 7 days per week from approximately the 3rd week of June until Mid September and start and end times can vary and be long at times. Please consider this detail carefully when considering this position as it is not possible to negotiate this. We adjust the number of holiday weeks at hiring accordingly due to the extra work days in the summer. Is working through the summer a condition that is acceptable to you?
- There is no public transportation to this location. Your own car will be required and it cannot be a shared car with a spouse or another family member.
