The inventory control coordinator will be responsible for maintaining high level of accuracy with the inventory through robust cycle count processes, continuous training of users and transaction audits. Verifies inventory records to physical product to ensure liability is maintained at budgeted and accepted performance levels.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies standing inventory counts to automated records.
- Investigate and report reasons for discrepancies and problem areas with regards to reoccurring adjustments, damages, selection errors and process issues.
- Prepare cycle counts process requirements (data sheets, updates and verifications)
- Maintaining accurate inventory through a vigorous cycle count program and monitor trends
- Reporting of inventory record accuracy by location, case and value, etc
- Create and maintain up to date inventory control procedures
- Assist where necessary in training personnel on operating guidelines, policies, and procedures and in Special Projects requested by the customer
- Assists and participates in the planning and conducting of client physicals
- Assists in reconciliation of client physicals
- Offers ideas and suggestions to enhance inventory accuracy and process improvements
- Other duties as required.

- Work in a healthy and safe manner following Metro’s policies, procedures
- Always wear or use protective equipment
- Report any hazards you find in the workplace to your supervisor
- Must not use or operate equipment in a manner that would endanger yourself or others
- Must not put other workers at risk by your actions

**EDUCATION**:

- High school diploma

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 1 years of hands on experience in Inventory Control and Warehouse Management system
- Experience with a scanner, good computer skills (MS Office)

**CORE COMPETENCIES**:

- Proven communication skills both verbal and written (English and French)
- Advanced computer skills in Word and Excel
- Attention to Detail is mandatory
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Service oriented with effective customer interaction skills
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Good stress management and decision-making skills
