**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Supervisor, Children & Youth Services, the Summer Camp Coordinator is responsible for developing and coordinating program plans for an eight-week camp program.

**Canada Summer Jobs Requirements**
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plan & implement a process for hiring camp staff.
- Provide orientation & training for camp staff and volunteers.
- Oversee all day-to-day camp operations.
- Supervise all camp staff.
- Maintain appropriate information, statistics & reports.
- Monitor camp budget, time sheets & petty cash.
- Engage with parents and family.
- Complete relevant documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.

**POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of working with children & youth.
- Experience with supervising others.
- Able to multi-task.
- Ability to accept supervision and seek counsel.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher) and database management.
- Dependable, punctual and flexible.
- Second language an asset.
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment.

- Currently enrolled or recently completed a diploma, degree and/or other certificate in a post-secondary institution.
- CPR and First Aid training preferred
- Must be qualified to work in Canada legally for the employer.
- Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening check with a ‘Clear’ or satisfactory result that meets the operational requirements of the Agency.
- Must have up-to-date vaccinations against COVID-19 with a vaccine that has been approved for use in Canada.
