As a **Transition House Worker**, you’ll empower clients by offering guidance, a safe space, and essential resources to navigate challenging moments. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Transition House Worker will provide guidance to clients in accessing confidential services such as financial aid, legal assistance, housing, and counseling. Key duties include crisis intervention via a support phone line, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, and developing action plans to address the ongoing needs of women and children. The role also involves maintaining accurate client records, assessing critical incidents (such as mental health crises or substance misuse), and offering a woman-centered approach that respects clients' choices and expertise.

**Qualifications**:
Strong communication and crisis management skills, coupled with a genuine passion for assisting those in crisis, are key to success in this role. A current Level 1 First Aid/CPR Certificate, a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License, and a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract are required. Access to a reliable vehicle is preferred. This position is open to **female **applicants only and offers union membership and compensation in accordance with the BCGEU Collective Agreement.

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
