**Essential Duties and Functions**
- Provide technical and administrative support for OHS department.
- Maintain OHS, Disability and Training records, files, and databases.
- Prepare OHS reports and presentations.
- Writing health and safety, programs, and procedures for approval by OHS Manager.
- Assist in the development and deliver required safety training.
- Conduct inspections and audits to assure compliance with safety requirements.
- Participate in incident investigation and/or emergency response.
- Liaises with management, employees, external OHS related agencies.
- Other duties and assignments as required

**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**
- Knowledge of OH&S Act, WSIA with emphasis on WSIB policies and processes
- Experience in cement or related industry (such as lime, metals, minerals or mining) or construction strongly preferred

**Physical Requirements**
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- This position may require some lifting of objects no heavier than twenty pounds (20lbs.)
- This position requires periods of standing and walking
- Physically able to climb ladders and scaffolds and work upon platforms

**Work Environment**
- Working outdoors at varied temperatures and weather conditions
- Working indoors in varied conditions (ie. hot noisy, dusty)
- Exposure to extreme heat
- Working in confined spaces
- Working at heights
- Effortless mobility through all areas of the plant
- This position is based across the plant
