As a Facility Operations Coordinator (FOC) you will be responsible for supporting community organizations to address capital lifecycle planning and projects within facilities and amenities that reside on City owned land. You will liaise with operational and strategic partners including City staff, Partners and consultants to gather asset data and business intelligence to support asset management decision making. Primary duties will include:
- Act as the main point of contact for the Engineering Consulting Program by liaising with community organizations, external vendors, Supply and Engineering Services.
- Act as the main point of contact for the Building Condition Assessment program, which includes managing and providing lifecycle reports that contribute to an organization's long-term capital planning.
- Lead the technical review process for organizations by coordinating and communicating with multiple partners and external consultants.
- Provide asset management advice to internal city staff and external community organizations.
- Provide training and guidance to internal and external customers related to process and requirements for capital construction on City owned land.
- Maintain facility asset management systems in conjunction with the Capital Conservation Grant funding system.
- Responsibly manage and communicate urgent life safety items related to facilities.
- Provide project management advisory services to community organizations for asset or system improvements, lifecycle replacements and renovations.
- Contribute to reports for partners, including Council and Senior Leadership.

**Qualifications**
- A completed 2-year technical diploma in an Engineering Technology program and at least 7 years of relationship management experience as a facility or project manager, site supervisor, or consultant within the construction industry OR;
- A completed 1-year certificate in construction management/planning, applied project management, program management and at least 10 years of relationship management experience as a facility or project manager, site supervisor, or consultant within the construction industry.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with access to a personal vehicle is required.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have experience with funding and granting processes, asset management and lifecycle planning, and previous experience working collaboratively with community/not-for-profit organizations.
- Success in this position requires well developed analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational/relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
- You have excellent customer service skills and can identify and deal with problems before they are escalated.
