**Facility Supervisor, McLean Community Centre**:
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Facility Supervisor is accountable for supervision of the facility in the absence of the Facility Manager, including supervision of the general public and part-time staff. This includes responding to customer questions/requests/complaints /concerns, management of emergency situations, and supervision of community hall functions to ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures as well as Municipal Alcohol Policy regulations. Supervision and scheduling of part-time staff.

**Key Duties**:

- Monitors and supervises the public in the pools, programs, permits, and Special Occasion Permits where applicable.
- Responding to customer inquiries, requests, complaints, and concerns.
- Managing any emergency situations; assist with Emergency Medical Services staff regarding injuries or incidents related to patrons and staff or facility evacuations.
- Address problematic behaviour and intervene when required.
- Supervision of all full time and part time facility staff.
- Scheduling and overseeing part time staff and assisting Facility Managers with full time Operator schedule coverage.
- Cover shifts for staff when adequate coverage is necessary or in an emergency to ensure building operation.
- Makes recommendations for hiring, opportunities for advancement, discipline and dismissal as required.
- Responsible for filing ISO logs, quality reports, accident/incident reports and customer feedback forms.
- Training of new and existing part time cleaners for various cleaning shifts.

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- 3 year college diploma in Recreation, Business Administration, Sports Administration, Facilities Management or experience, training and education deemed equivalent.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a recreation facility (municipal environment preferable) in a supervisory capacity and/or a combination of training, education and experience deemed equivalent.
- Knowledge of pool operations.
- Certified Pool Operator certification.
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR C + AED Certification.
- Knowledge of building automation systems.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Health & Safety Act and Regulations.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Public Pool/Public Spa Regulations.
- Effective skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, positive, confident and approachable.
- Excellent interpersonal, mediation and conflict resolution skills.
- Respectful of diverse opinions and perspectives.
- Committed to quality customer service and innovation to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Valid Class 'G' Ontario driver's license and clear abstract.
- Able to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons and weekends.
- Able to provide a clear Criminal Reference check with Vulnerable Sector screening that is current (completed within the last 6 months), upon being hired.

**Nice to Have**:

- B-Ticket Refrigeration certification considered an asset.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.

**What is Offered to Staff**:

- Rate of Pay: $93,206 - $116,507 per year.
- Hours of Work: This is a non-union position that works 35 hours per week. The hours of work are 4:30pm - 12:30am Monday to Friday and 9:00 am - 5:00 pm every other Weekend.
- Benefits: The Town offers full-time staff a comprehensive benefit package with paid sick, vacation and personal leave days; Employee & Family Assistance Program; Health & Wellness Program, Town of Ajax Fitness Centre Combo Membership; plus a defined benefits pension (OMERS pension).
- Hybrid Work Program: The Town offers a Hybrid Work Program. A flexible work arrangement, including the option to work from home some of the time, is currently a possibility with this position, and can be discussed during the interview process.
