Property Claims Adjuster

**Salus Mutual Insurance Company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property Claims**
**Adjuster to join our growing team
**The Property Claims Adjuster is primarily responsible for investigating farm, commercial, and residential
property insurance claims and determining the amount of loss or damages covered by the policy.

**Position Requirements**:

- Postsecondary education or equivalent training and work experience
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or completion of most CIP courses an asset
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Minimum of three years of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with insurance software
- Detailed knowledge of claims adjustment practices
- General knowledge of building construction materials and techniques
- General knowledge of property damage scoping and estimating
- General knowledge of reinsurance procedures an asset
- General knowledge of litigation regulation and procedures an asset
- Understanding of the mutual insurance system and its philosophy an asset

- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Communication skills, written and verbal
- Maintains a positive working relationship and liaison with all business partners (e.g., employees,

customers, third parties, etc.)
