**K-12 Learning Support Services Consultant - Grades 7-12 Curriculum Focus**

This K-12 Learning Support Services position is available September 1, 2025. This position will be renewable and receive a responsibility allowance as per the appropriate Collective Agreement.

As a Learning Support Services Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting educators, fostering student success, and advancing curriculum implementation across the system, specifically with a grade 7-12 focus. This position requires a strong commitment to instructional excellence, collaboration with educators, and the integration of Catholic values in education.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Under the direction of the Superintendent of Education, the K-12 Learning Support Services Consultant will:

- Provide leadership and coaching in the implementation and alignment of the grade 7-12 curriculum, with a focus on effective instructional and assessment practices.
- Facilitate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of professional development initiatives to support effective, high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ensure assessment, evaluation and reporting requirements for the granting of OSSD credits are met.
- Model curriculum implementation and instructional strategies by working directly in classrooms with teachers through job embedded professional learning.
- Collect and analyse student achievement data to identify trends, inform instructional planning and support Student Achievement Plans.
- Advance Student Success initiatives, including Safe Schools and any other board-based needs and Ministry of Education directives.
- Lead supports for international students including welcoming processes, planning events and activities, and fostering connections to support their well-being, inclusion and success.
- Provide mentorship and support to new educators as part of the New Teacher Induction Program (NTIP).
- Support EQAO and provincial assessments.
- Assist in the design and adaptation of curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of all students through effective instruction including differentiated instruction (DI) and universal design for learning (UDL).
- Establish and sustain partnerships with community organizations to broaden learning opportunities and enhance student outcomes.
- Champion equity and inclusive education initiatives across the system.
- Promote innovation and excellence in teaching and learning across the K-12 continuum.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support system-wide goals.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be qualified in intermediate and senior divisions.
- Must possess a Specialist in an area related to this assignment.

**Other Requirements**:

- In-depth knowledge of secondary curricula, including best practices in assessment and evaluation.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as a part of the Learning Support Services.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, and build strong relationships.
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of Ministry initiatives and directives.
- Proven leadership experience, demonstrating the ability to influence and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster enthusiasm for progressive change.
- Experience in planning, facilitating, and delivering professional learning for educators.
- Excellent collaboration, coordination, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in integrating technology to enhance teaching, learning, and professional development.
- Deep understanding of cross-curricular connections and their impact on student learning.
- Experience leading school-level and board-level initiatives is an asset.
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and adaptability in responding to evolving educational needs.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel as required.
