Reporting to the Manager, Visual Communicatons, the Visual Communications Specialist will work closely with business unit partners and colleagues across the Communications and Community Impact team. These groups oversee corporate messaging, ensuring appropriate business needs are met while respecting the specific needs and requirements of ENMAX advertising, internal and external communications initiatives.

As a Brand Steward, ensure integration and consistency of the ENMAX brand while in consumer-facing and employee communications, inclusive of copy tone and manner, imagery, online content utilizing and enhancing ENMAX’s brand standards and guidelines. Act as project manager and vendor liaison for various corporate brand, digital and marketing initiatives.

Major Responsibilities:
- Supports, enhances and adheres to our brand guidelines, including maintaining a creative style guide and standards.- Works directly with senior management in the development of creative strategies and the adoption of innovative solutions for our internal and external audiences, supporting communications, public relations and advertising initiatives as required.- Research and development of creative platforms and concepts based on a deep understanding of the ENMAX audiences.- Development and execution of creative across all channels utilizing design and art direction skills. You will take artwork from conceptual stage to completion to create marketing, advertising, promotional and communications materials for internal and external audiences.- Liaise with internal creative teams and those from various external marketing, advertising and on-line agencies to ensure that design, art direction, UI/UX, and functionality standards meet business requirements and align with appropriate brand standards across all communications vehicles including traditional media channels, web sites, intranets, apps and social sites.- Responsible for ensuring that all creative strategies align to ENMAX brand standards as well as meet regulatory compliance guidelines.- Supports designers, artists, developers and associated team members.- Oversees development and organization of advertising campaigns in support of business units and our ENMAX business strategy.- Advocates for innovation that serves ENMAX’s customers and business goals.

Education Required:
- University degree in Visual Design, Fine Arts,or New Media.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years corporate in-house design experience, including at least 3 years working directly with approved print/video vendors or other producers.- Must have worked in Adobe Creative Suite for all print and digital deliverables, including development and editing of motion graphics and compositing video and video production experience using Adobe Premier Pro and After effects.- Must have demonstrated advanced digital illustration and animation experience using Procreate and Adobe Illustrator.- Must have experience with corporate rebranding projects, including execution of transition materials and implementation of revised branding guidelines.- Must have experience working with a diverse team; demonstrated ability in negotiation and coordination of project work.- Sound design experience is an asset.- High level of computer literacy, including effective working proficiency in customer relationship management software, Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.- Must have experience with file management procedures.- Superior design and communications skills, with demonstrated ability managing project deliverables.- A solid understanding of the strategic deployment of all media/communication channels.

Salary: Communications Level C (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
