We are excited to announce an opening for a **Full-Time Permanent IT Technician**. The IT Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining IT equipment, providing technical support for hardware, software, and networks, and ensuring optimal and secure functioning of all systems.

**What would you be required to do?**
The specific purpose of the position is to manage user accounts, perform regular updates, and communicate technical information effectively to clients with varying levels of IT knowledge.
**Position requirements**:
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of IT equipment, including account setup for new hires.
- Provide client interaction and support.
- Offer technical support for all agency computer hardware, networks, and software.
- Support all agency local area networks, including printers, copiers, servers, routers/modems, switches, operating systems, and user accounts; implement updates and improvements; configure hardware and install software; maintain the firewall.
- Ensure servers, firewall, and access points are up to date.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft Outlook.
- Maintain the SIP multi-line phone system.
- Administer the iPhone infrastructure, including deploying and maintaining agency-owned iPhones.
- Respond promptly to service tickets and provide timely updates to clients.
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to clients with varying levels of IT knowledge.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional and courteous interactions.
- Ensure all client networks and systems are functioning optimally and securely.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups across multiple client networks.
- Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functioning of IT infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect client data and systems, focusing on cyber and network security.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client network configurations and changes.
- Manage access through Office 365 (SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Teams).
- Maintain all agency key fobs (hardware tokens).
- Capitalize on new technology trends to enhance agency productivity and gain efficiencies.
- Oversee all security cameras and security systems, including fire panels.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience providing first-level systems support in a corporate environment.
- Familiarity with desktop and server operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 11, Server 2012, virtual machines, Android, iOS, and iPad OS.
- Working knowledge of Office 365, Teams, and Azure Active Directory.
- Ability to research a wide range of computing and technical issues as required.
- Superior troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be mature, self-motivated, reliable and flexible and demonstrate sound judgement.
- Must have a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
**Hours of work**:
- Full-time 40 hours per week. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Stay on as emergency on call as required.
