**Position and hours**:
We are currently hiring for a full time Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper.
The normal work schedule would be 7:45 am - 4:45 pm with a 1-hour lunch.
**Primary Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities**:
- Maintain front desk operations
- Field incoming calls
- Process incoming and outgoing mail
- Process credit card transactions
- Maintain employee purchasing records
- Necessary filing and document organization
- Assist in creation of documents or records as requested
- Assist in new employee documentation onboarding
**Primary Bookkeeper duties and responsibilities**:
- Daily entries into QuickBooks.
- Reconcile all bank and credit card statements.
- GST, PST, & WCB.
- Accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Issue payments.
- Payroll calculations.
- Preparation of T4’s.
- Daily entry of employee timecards.
- Quarterly reporting.
- General Bookkeeping duties.
**Qualifications / key personal traits**:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks.
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Ability to work with little supervision and to maintain oneself as a self-starter.
- Ability to maintain all accounts and submissions in a timely manor.
- Schedule accordingly to maintain requirements and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
