Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to the branch.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide overall leadership, motivation, development, and supervision for all service department employees at the location.
- Focus and achieve a high level of customer service at the location, leading to a high level of measured customer satisfaction.
- Participate in setting monthly and annual service volume forecasts for the location and lead the department with goal to consistently improve profitability.
- Schedule work hours to ensure efficient operation of the service department as per current operating hours.
- Manage and determine the training program for technicians and service advisors to ensure proper levels of proficiency are maintained.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Implement, execute, and monitor the Company’s policies, procedures, and strategy.
- Ensure compliance of all health and safety policies and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA) regulations.
- Promote and develop positive corporate culture both internally and externally.
- Other related duties as assigned.
**Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
- Five years combined experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred.
- Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Licensed Automotive Technician (310S) certification is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills; outgoing, positive thinker and self-motivated.
- Sound decision making, problem solving and time management skills.
- Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers - SAP experience is an asset.
- Criminal Record Check.
- Valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
