Procurement Specialist

**Parts for Trucks** has been an industry leader providing parts and service to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. Operating 30 sales / warehouse outlets and 15 service facilities from coast to coast, Parts for Trucks offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers. We are currently seeking a **Procurement Specialist** to join our team. This will be a **full-time, temporary position**.
**Details**:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by processing regular stock orders.
- Accurately enter and maintain purchase orders, confirmations, and open orders.
- Maintain accurate vendor price lists and parts number data.
- Provide product information in response to sales branch requests, or sales promotions.
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and department leads.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management reports.
- Analyze and adjust system settings to reduce stock-outs.
- Ensure timely resolution of supply chain issues and shipment discrepancies.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers in conjunction with the internal accounting department.
- Work with internal departments to resolve any on-hand/ERP stock inconsistencies.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary training in Business Administration, Purchasing or comparable area.
- Minimum 2-4 years related experience.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools and strong technical ability in Microsoft Office.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of heavy-duty trucks or automotive parts, or experience in a comparable industry an asset.
