**MAIN PURPOSE**:
The Roofing Foreman is responsible for managing and overseeing the roofing/service crews for commercial and/or residential roofing projects. The Foreman directly supervises and coordinates work activities for the crew members, to ensure proper, safe, and on-time installation/service for various commercial and residential roofing projects.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Oversee the worksite, including inspecting work for installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and organization of the work activities for roofers/labourers.
- Monitor and track project progress and report to the Lead Project Manager to ensure projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Lead and conduct the on-site restoring, removing, and replacing of various roof systems.
- Ensures all roof areas are sealed and waterproofed prior to the end of each workday.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot any roofing related problem on site.
- Track work hours on employee timesheets and submit them to payroll on a weekly basis.
- Provide evaluation, mentorship, training and instruction of labourers on a daily basis.
- Prepare progress reports regarding the status of each roofing project, including type of repairs made, materials used, and cost of completed work assignments.
- Communicate safety policies and practice to the crew and ensure all safety guidelines and procedures are followed.
- Conduct frequent safety meetings and training including toolbox meetings.
- Complete and maintain daily paperwork and safety checks.
- Evaluate roofing material needs and report status to the Lead Project Manager.
- Maintain maintenance and roof system warranty logs and meets with bonding company representatives regarding roofs under warranty (Service Foreman only).
- Monitor equipment utilization and maintenance.
- Act as the first point of contact for the Lead Project Manager on the worksite.
- Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Red Seal Journeyman certificate or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of roofing experience in a supervisory role is required.
- Extensive knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and practices of the roofing trade is required.
- Superior management and organization skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- First Aid and Fall Arrest Protection Certificate are required.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license.
- Ability to lift 50 Ibs.
**WORK CONDITIONS**:
- Work outdoor in various weather condition with exposure to extreme cold or heat.
- Physical exertion at heights and/or on sloped roofing systems.
- Travel is required.
- Inconsistent schedule, work times and days will be dictated by customer needs, projects, and weather.
- Will be required to work overtime, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical demanding, kneeling, bending, digging, lifting, shovelling.

**Salary**: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
