**The Position**:
At British Swim School, we teach fun swim lessons, but that’s not all We also offer programs centered around Aquatic Fitness and Water Aerobics called Aqua Active.

Being an Aqua Active instructor, you will be provided additional training to teach these classes to the highest standard, the British Swim School standard. You will be assigned to a class schedule developed by manager(s) and interact with swimmers, and parents and/or guardians.

**Your Typical Responsibilities**:

- Reports directly to and supports the Aquatics Manager and/or Business Owner(s).
- Instructs in accordance with British Swim School training and program standards, maintaining certifications throughout employment.
- Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3pm-7pm), weekends (8am
- 1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift. Regularly develop workouts that can adapt to various fitness abilities, time frames, and energy levels.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion.
- Enthusiastic personality.
- Comfortable in and around the water.
- Must have a current Certification in either Water Aerobics, Aquatic Fitness, or Group Exercise with a Water Aerobic addition.
- CPR Certification
- Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment. Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience working with adults as well as children.
- Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training) Prior Teaching Experience: 1 year preferred
