We are looking to hire an ON-CALL Community Inclusion Worker who supports individuals served who are eligible for CLBC funded Community Inclusion hours. The service is intended to enhance lifestyle through recreational, leisure, and community opportunities that support their dignity, self-determination and acceptance in the community. The Community Inclusion Worker report to the Clinical Director and the Adult Services Program Manager. Join us in transforming lives and creating a more inclusive society where everyone can thrive. **This is an on-call role, there are no guaranteed shifts.** **Responsibilities**: - Provide individualized support to individuals served to promote inclusion in community activities. - Implement personalized support plans based on individual served' needs and goals. - Facilitate social skills training and provide mentorship to individual served in various settings. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with individual served, families, and community partners. - Assist individual served in accessing community resources and opportunities for engagement. - Organize and lead group activities that encourage participation and social interaction. - Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals served in all aspects of community life. - Ensuring a safe environment for everyone. **Working Conditions**: - Sessions will be community or home based, depending on the needs of individual served. **Qualifications**: - Be 19 years old or older. - Clear criminal record check with Vulnerable population (requirement). - A Valid BC Drivers License and reliable transportation for community outreach activities. - Flexibility to work various shifts. - Must be fully vaccinated. - "Business Use" car insurance & $3,000,000 Third-Party Liability Insurance (requirement). - Must be comfortable working on your own, with individual served in family homes or in the community. - Proven experience in the individual and family services field or a related discipline. - Strong understanding of community inclusivity principles and practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations. - Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. - Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop engaging activities and programs. - Knowledge of local community resources and services available to individuals with diverse needs. **Required Training and Experience**: - Have a post-secondary education in a related field; Psychology, Child and Youth Care, Special Education Assistant (preferred) - At least 1 year of previous experience with individuals with diverse abilities. (required) - MANDT training (we will provide). - First aid (we will provide). **Hours and Compensation**: - Starting wage is $25.95/hr for the first 2000 hrs of work, scheduled increases based on hours worked. - Paid milage at rate of.62 cent while driving individual on during shift (Available milage is dictated in individual’s contract). - Vacation paid out at 4%. - This is a part-time position with the potential to grow. - All staff who work at least 6 hrs per week have access to Dialogue, which provides staff support in and access to Primary Care, Mental Health, Wellness support, and Family & Relationship. - Five paid sick days. - Paid trainings (First Aid, MANDT, in house skill sharping) - RRSP matching of 2.5% **Job Types**: Part-time, Casual Pay: From $25.95 per hour Expected hours: No more than 15 per week **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Employee assistance program - Flexible schedule **Experience**: - Working with disabled adults: 1 year (preferred) **Location**: - Victoria, BC (required) Work Location: On the road
