We are seeking Primary Care Paramedics (PCP) to join our team for an ongoing camp jobs in the Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut. With immediate start dates available.

As an PCP your main role on site will be to provide emergency response to crews in the event of injury, illness, or emergency situation.

General Responsibilities:
Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish care procedures

Administer pre-hospital first-aid treatment and emergency care at site of emergency, or in specially equipped vehicle.

Collect and maintain pertinent and confidential patient medical information and maintain detailed records of the nature of injuries/illnesses and treatment provided.

Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities and assist medevac personnel with provision of medical treatment as necessary.

Maintain ambulances and emergency care equipment and supplies

Operate within an expanded scope of practice.

Qualifications:
Valid, unrestricted PCP certificate with current CPR certificate

Previous experience as an PCP (industrial experience an asset but not required)

Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Ability to stay calm and collected in stressful and emergency situations

Ability to maintain positive, professional relations with a wide range of individuals

Be comfortable working long hours for many consecutive days

Be extremely safety conscious

Possess a reasonable level of fitness Valid Class 4 or 5 driver's license

Airfare for out of territory workers provided
