**Summary of essential job functions**
- Assist the manager with scheduling and coordinating summer camp classes, trips and activities.
- Supervise and attend functions/trips/activities as scheduled.
- Ensure campers improve their English and have a safe and exciting stay.
- Lead by example for campers to follow with professional behaviours.
**Key Accountabilities/ Activities**
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating the summer camp classes, trips and activities.
- Producing a well-organized camp schedule.
- Arranging flight pick-ups for students’ arrival.
- Arranging buses and other transportation schedule for camp trips and activities.
- Ensuring activities and trips do not overlap between camp sessions.
- Preparing a back-up schedule would be advisable.
- Assist with booking, reserving, preparing payments and confirming trips, transportation and admission fees.
- Notify the accounting office of all camp activities and trips, types of payment and exact amount of fees required.
- Assist the Camps Manager with teacher and counsellor shift scheduling
- Ensuring teachers and counsellors work within the permitted working hours.
- Allocating balance work shifts between teachers and counsellors.
- Reducing conflicts and overlaps between teachers and counsellors’ work shifts.
- Providing breaks between work shifts for both teachers and counselors.
- Ensuring that the work schedule is followed by the staff.
- Prepare and develop and implement fun and creative activities.
- Planning activities that engage the usage of the English language.
- Producing fun trips and exciting activities that engage students in learning experiences.
- Occupying students’ entire day with camp trips and activities.
- Checking by with the Summer Camps Manager with planned activities and trips before implement.
- Reconcile all related invoices with bookings.
- Supervise and attend functions/trips/activities as scheduled.
- Ensuring attendance is taken and every student is present, unless permitted absence by Summer Camps Manager.
- Seeking immediate first-aid assistance in any cases of injuries or health care issues.
- Informing Summer Camps Manager of any issues or accidents.
- Liaison with other departments to ensure a smooth operation of the summer camp.
- Informing in advance if any classroom reservations are made.
- Maintain neat and tidy residence room, ensuring all items (i.e. bed sheets and air-conditioner) are not damaged.
- Liaison with parents of participants, group chaperones and recruitment partners.
- Ensuring related personnel are informed of any accidents or health related issues.
- Update the well-being of students frequently with parents.
- Assist with marketing efforts of the school.
- Aware of school programs (i.e. Advanced Placement (AP), tutoring, summer camp) and able to speak about and answer questions about the programs.
- Ensure students are abiding by the Bronte College Code of Behaviour at all times.
- Providing first level discipline as required.
- Bring up repeat cases or very serious incidents to the Summer Camps Manager.
- Communicate messages, rules and regulations and school policy with multicultural students.
- Being available and providing help for campers when requested and reasonable.
- To complete any additional duties assigned by the Summer Camps Manager.
**Working Conditions**
- Hours of work: approximately 40 hours per week depending on the schedule.
- Normal working hours are weekdays and weekend work starts from afternoon to late evening
- Overnight retreat is a requisite of this position
**Minimum Requirements**
- Strong English communication skills.
- Planning and organization skills.
- High level of technology skills.
- Experience in camp settings.
- Valid G drivers license.
- Enjoys working in a diverse multi-cultural environment.
- Other languages are an asset.
